"Wir waren zu zweit an einem Wochenende im Floatel Hafenkran. Das Wetter war dabei leider etwas regnerisch. Begruesst wurden wir von einem super netten Mitarbeiter, der uns in alle Details eingewiesen hat und am naechsten Tag auch das Fruhstueck vorbei gebracht hat. Der Hafenkran selbst ist auf zwei Ebenen. Unten befindet sich Kueche mit Kaffeemaschine, Kühlschrank usw, sowie Bad und WC. Zusaetzlich auch eine kleine Essecke mit Blick auf die Elbphilarmonie. "Großartiges anderes Erlebnis, wenn man mal Lust auf was Neues hat. Das ist kein klassisches Hotel. Und ja die Kosten sind ordentlich, wenn man jedoch weiß was es bedeutet ein antikes, technisches Gerät bei deutschen Regularien mit Gästen zu betreiben, dann weiß man, dass der Preis gerechtfertigt ist. Mit ganz viel Liebe und Freude haben hier Menschen was besonderes geschaffen. Wir haben die Zeit im Kran sehr genossen."

Wer hier eincheckt, bucht kein klassisches Hotel, sondern eine kleine Zeitreise. Kein gewöhnliches AirBnB – eher das wohl kleinste Hotel’chen Hamburgs. Der Schwimmkran GREIF, erbaut 1947 und später von Kampnagel umgebaut, ist heute ein einzigartiges Hideaway, das Technik-Begeisterte und Romantiker gleichermaßen fasziniert. "Einfach nur toll. Wir wurden sehe nett empfangen. In alles eingewiesen was das kleine Hotel zu bieten hat. Ja, der Kamin ( Deko)war defekt, na und? Völlig egal bei diesem Erlebnis.
